474 Fruit Hill Ave, North Providence, RI 02911
We are a small, growing Christian community rooted in the Episcopal Church and the broader Anglican tradition.
“The mission of the Church is to restore all people to unity with God and each other in Christ. The Church pursues its mission as it prays and worships, proclaims the Gospel, and promotes justice, peace, and love.” (Book of Common Prayer, p. 855)
At St. James, we carry out this mission in the context of North Providence and surrounding cities and towns.
We welcome and affirm people of every age, sex, race, ethnicity, ability, gender identity, and sexual orientation.
Whether you are a staunch “Cradle Episcopalian,” from another denominational background, or someone still sorting out your spiritual path, you will find a warm welcome with us!
We work to spread Jesus’ Way of Love as part of what Presiding Bishop Michael Curry calls “the Episcopal branch of the Jesus Movement!”
We will be offering a service of Morning Prayer, in keeping with the Church's ancient tradition of observing the Divine Office, at 6:00 am. This service will take place in-person and is also available online via Facebook Live. The link is below:
This Eucharist is a vigil for the Sunday celebration. It is held in-person and is also available online via our Facebook page:
